COD Management Software in Morocco: How to Choose
At first, a Google Sheets file and the phone's WhatsApp are enough. Then orders grow, the team grows, and the system cracks: forgotten orders, customers called twice, parcels typed by hand on the shipping company's website, cash collections nobody can trace.
That is the moment to move to COD management software. This guide explains how to compare the options, which criteria to check, and which questions to ask before you commit.
Signs it is time to change tools
orders get lost between the store and the spreadsheet;
two agents call the same customer, or nobody does;
you don't know who confirmed what, or how much to pay each agent;
every parcel is re-entered by hand with the shipping company;
you don't know how much cash is still with the courier;
your confirmation, delivery and return rates are estimates.
If two or three of these sound familiar, your current setup is already costing you orders.
The three types of tools
Tool | Strengths | Limits for COD |
|---|---|---|
Spreadsheet (Google Sheets, Excel) | Free, simple, everyone knows how to use it | No automatic confirmation, no link with the shipping company, typing errors, no team tracking |
General-purpose CRM | Customer records, history, tasks | Built for sales, not for COD: no parcels, no cash collection, few Moroccan shipping companies |
COD management software | Orders, confirmation, shipping, cash collection and team in one place | Needs a setup and a subscription |
The spreadsheet is still a good starting point, and you don't necessarily have to drop it: some software imports orders from Google Sheets. See managing COD orders with Google Sheets.
The 10 criteria to choose

1. The connection to your store
Orders should arrive on their own, with no copy and paste. Check that your platform is connected (Shopify, YouCan, Google Sheets…) and exactly what comes through: products, variants, address, amount.
2. Integrated shipping companies
This is the most important criterion in Morocco. The software should create parcels and labels with your shipping companies, and fetch statuses on its own. Also check that you can connect several of them and keep your own contracts. See how to choose a COD shipping company.
3. WhatsApp confirmation
The confirmation message should go out automatically, from your own number, through Meta's official API. Ask who pays for the messages, and whether the reply buttons move the order forward on their own.
4. The call queue for the confirmation team
For customers who don't answer messages, you need a screen where each agent gets the next order to call, with no duplicates and with the customer's history.
5. A pipeline that fits you
Your stages (New, To call, Confirmed, Shipped…) should be renameable and reorderable, with automatic actions at each stage.
6. Team, roles and commissions
Everyone should see what concerns them, and commissions should be calculated from your rules, with no spreadsheet on the side. See confirmation agent commissions.
7. Tracking cash collection and returns
For every delivered order, you should know whether the money has been collected. And for every return, why it came back.
8. Reliable statistics
Confirmation, delivery and return rates, by city, product, agent and shipping company. Without these numbers, you are flying blind. See how to calculate and reduce your return rate.
9. Language and support
Your team should be able to work in its own language, and you should know who helps you get started: connecting the store, the shipping company and WhatsApp.
10. Pricing
Look at what you pay for: per order, per shipped parcel, per user, per message. Software billed per order received makes you pay for cancelled orders. Also check whether there is a trial plan and whether there is a commitment.
Questions to ask during the trial
Do my orders arrive on their own, with all the information?
Can I create a real parcel with my shipping company and see its status come back?
Does the WhatsApp message go out from my number, and does the "Confirm" button move the order forward?
Can my confirmation agent work without long training?
Can I find my numbers for the week without calculating anything?
How much will I pay with my real parcel volume?
Test with real orders, not with demo data: it is the only way to see the limits.
Where Sendocki stands: the grid, criterion by criterion
Sendocki was built for one use: running a COD store in Morocco, from order to cash. Here is the same grid, applied to the tool.

From order to parcel, with no re-entry
Orders arrive on their own from Shopify, YouCan or Google Sheets. The confirmation message goes out on WhatsApp, from your number, through Meta's official API, and the "Confirm" button moves the order forward. Then parcels, labels and pickup go to Sendit, Ameex, Cathedis or Livo in one click, and statuses come back on their own. You keep your contracts with your shipping companies.
An organised team
Your agents get the next order to call in the call queue, with no duplicates. When a customer types a reply, KENZI, the AI agent, answers them on WhatsApp. Roles, teams and commissions are set once, from your rules.
Your numbers and your cash, in one place
Every delivered order has its cash collection status. Confirmation, delivery and return rates can be read by city, product and agent, with no spreadsheet on the side.
A guided start, a readable price
The interface is in French, Arabic and English. AIDA, the AI assistant, guides you through connecting the store, the shipping company and WhatsApp, and through setting up your pipeline. On price, you pay per shipped parcel, not per order received: cancelled orders cost you nothing. WhatsApp messages are billed by Meta directly on your account.
The best way to check: run the six tests above with your real orders. The free plan, with no credit card, includes 30 parcels a month. All the details are on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
How much does COD management software cost?
It depends on what is billed: per order, per shipped parcel, per user or per message. To compare, calculate the cost with your real monthly parcel volume, and add the WhatsApp fees billed by Meta.
Do you have to change shipping company?
No. Good software connects to your current shipping companies, and you keep your contracts and rates. You can use several at the same time.
Can you keep using Google Sheets?
Yes, if the software can import your orders from your sheet. You keep your habits, and tracking happens in the tool.
Isn't a general-purpose CRM enough?
It handles customer records well, but not parcels, delivery statuses or cash collection. In COD, that is exactly where margin and returns are decided.
Key takeaways
COD management software is judged on what makes up your day: orders that arrive on their own, automatic WhatsApp confirmation, connected shipping companies, an organised team, tracked cash collection and reliable numbers. Compare on these criteria, check what you pay for, and test with your real orders before you commit.
